In the close proximity of our guesthouse there are many family-friendly beaches along the rugged coastline. Some of them even are in walking distance!
Clashnessie Bay
Clashnessie Bay is a small sandy beach (can be reached within a 20 minutes walk) with a mild microclimate, due to the closeness of the Atlantic Ocean Gulf Stream. Clashnessie Bay is a clean, quiet and beautiful beach with a rocky inlet and a big sandy shore. You can reach the Clashnessie Falls, a fifteen meter waterfall, within a short walk. Clachtoll Bay
A lovely small beach (can be reached within a 40 minutes walk) with headland either side, and the interesting split rock in view. There are toilet facilities, and an Assynt Ranger information hut.
Clachtoll provides a truly glorious beach of white sand lapped by idyllic turquoise water. From either side of the beach you gain stunning mountain views. For a video of Clachtoll Beach click here.
Achmelvich Beach
Achmelvich Beach (can be reached within a 20 minutes drive) is a stunning, white sandy beach and a popular spot with kayakers, water skiers and windsurfers. Because of the unique morphology there are many nearby walks and climbs, including the famous Suilven.
